World Artists Experiences (WAE) presents a live performance of Cia Armorial on March 9, 2025, at 4:00 p.m., at Live Arts Maryland, Annapolis Mall (Bestgate Entrance), Annapolis, Maryland. This event is offered free of charge in partnership with the Embassy of Brazil. Seating is first come, first served.
Cia Armorial is a musical trio that performs Brazilian folk music. It features Marcello Linhos on viola caipira and vocals, Nelson Latif on 7-string guitar, and Marcelo Lima on mandolin. These string instruments are typically Brazilian, especially the viola caipira, also known as viola sertaneja or viola caboclo, a plucked 10-string guitar and a symbol of Brazilian country music. Cia Armorial expresses Brazilian country folk songs to reconnect our hearts to the country feeling, the feeling of sertanejo, which is paradoxically simple and elaborate at the same time.
Additional performances are scheduled as follows:
March 8: Christ Lutheran Church,1222 Vocke Rd, LaVale, MD, 7:00 pm
March 10: Salisbury University, Great Hall, Holloway Hall, 1101 Camden Ave, 7:00 pm
