Workplace Giving
Often, employers match your donation dollar for dollar – doubling the impact of your gift! Many employers sponsor matching gift programs and will match any charitable contributions or volunteer hours made by their employees, retirees, and/or employees’ spouses. The Human Resources Department in your workplace can provide additional information about matching gift programs.
IRA Payments
If you are 73 or older, you can support the work of the Arts Council of Anne Arundel County while making a tax-savvy gift from your IRA. Your donation will count toward your required minimum distribution (RMD) and be exempt from federal income tax. Check with your tax advisor about how you can design a giving program of this type to maximize benefits for your individual circumstances.
